Company History

CUNNINGHAM & COMPANY opened its doors in Greensboro, North Carolina in 1990.  Since that time, the company has opened doors for thousands of homebuyers.  As an independent mortgage banking firm, Cunningham & Company has steadily built a reputation for providing prompt, personal service and a broad array of competitive products. 

Prior to forming Cunningham & Company, President Hank Cunningham had more than 17 years of professional mortgage experience including senior management positions with leading financial institutions.  In addition, he served as President of the Mortgage Bankers Association of the Carolinas, President of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Greensboro and President of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Charlotte.  He currently serves on the Residential Board of Governors and Board of Directors of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America, is Chairman of the N.C. Legislative Committee for the Mortgage Bankers of the Carolinas, and holds the designation of Certified Mortgage Banker, one of less than 500 in the U.S.
